This 1730 Queen Anne style house has woven Susan and I into its rich and varied tapestry, just as it has done with all of its past owners and visitors. We have discovered over time that we are merely guardians of this resplendent and historic house. The Cashel Palace has survived rebellion and has been home to Archbishops, Earls and Lords. This place has never been owned, it has simply adopted appropriate sentinels as the years have passed. A striking feature of the hotel is that despite the formality of its architecture, the overwhelming atmosphere is one of warmth and welcome. Formerly the Bishop's Palace, this 1730 Queen Anne style house is situated on 28 acres of beautiful gardens and land which surrounds the world famous Rock of Cashel.
