Fairyhouse has always been one of the finest and fairest racecourses and continues to attract the leading horses both on the flat and over jumps. Arkle, Desert Orchid, Flying Bolt, Captain Christy, Prince Regent, Persian War, L’Escargot, and more recently Istabraq, See More Business and Bobbyjo are just some of the legendary greats that have graced the almost 2 mile circuit.
The racecourse is located 12 miles north west of Dublin, just off the N2 or the N3. The racecourse is within half an hour's drive from Dublin Airport and City Centre, and is easily accessible via the Westlink motorway and Blanchardstown bypass. Fairyhouse hosts approximately 18 days racing each year with the feature being the three day Easter Festival featuring the Powers Gold Label Irish Grand National, the Menolly Homes Handicap Hurdle and the Powers Gold Cup. The November Festival features three Grade 1 races and is now firmly established as Irelands's first major National Hunt fixture of each new season. Fairyhouse also races on New Year’s Day.
Fairyhouse has an exclusive membership package which includes admission to all race meetings, private member’s room looking onto the racetrack with an exclusive members’ area in the stand, and members’ car park. Fairyhouse is linked with two English racecourses, namely Uttoxeter and Newcastle. This enables members from each of the aforementioned courses complimentary admission to all meetings throughout the year.
Fairyhouse has a fully supervised and equipped crèche for children aged up to 9 years of age, with both indoor and outdoor play areas.
